If your like many of the iPhone users that are just getting sick and tired of AT&T and Apple restricting what you can and cannot do on your phone you have another option. Even though you are in a contract if you are willing to fork over a couple hundred bucks you can have a new unlocked Android phone. The Android operating System is an open-source OS which you can do anything you want with, without any restrictions. It has a very similar interface to the iPhone but is way more powerful like being able to run multiple applications at one time. You can get pretty much any one of the phones that are coming out as long as it supports a SIM card. eBay has tons of these phones for sale already in used and new condition and most of them are already unlocked. There are other options for obtaining these phones as well like Craigslist, but you may end up in some shady area of town dealing with someone that looks as if he’s fractured an occasional law or two. At least with eBay you have some recourse if something goes awry.
