As you might already know, we’ve had some earlier possible specs leaked here and there on this long awaited followup to last years heavily successful Galaxy S line. This new phone has just today had a brand new set of specs leaked to the folks at SamFirmware – these are above and beyond the possible 4.3 inch or 4.5 inch screen and Orion Dual-core processor on board featuring 1.0 GHz or 1.2 GHz of power. What’s not known for certain is the rest. Let’s take a look.

What’s been told today is the following: Screensize : 4.3” or 4.5′, Super Amoled Plus screen, 8 Megapixel camera on the back with LED flash, 1.3 Megapixel camera on the front, Sd support of up to 32 GB, an Orion Dual Core 1.0 or 1.2 GHZ processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Bluetooth 3.0, coded as Samsung I9100, and it includes the future of mobile computing : NFC chip inside.

And that’s about it! We’re still unsure of what the device will look like, what colors it might be (black,) or essentially anything else. Are you excited? We are so very excited. And ALSO it appears more than likely that this phone will be released at Mobile World Congress 2011, which we will definitely be at, bringing this info to you live.

The Android onslaught continues. According to a leaked build file  published on AndroidSPIN, the next HTC Android device to make a big splash in the market will be the Scorpion a.k.a. Olympian. While the site posts a disclaimer that it can’t validate the authenticity of the information, what we see is certainly impressive.

The indication is that the Scorpion will get a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon processor under the hood. It will feature WiMax compatibility and will run the FRE65C build of Android 2.2. If these specs hold true, this phone should leave current Android owners drooling with envy.

Engadget speculates that it could be a rumored smartbook as opposed to a handset.

There’s no word or speculation on when exactly the Scorpion will hit the market, but it’s not expected for some time. Until then, we’re stuck with the Nexus One and Droid. [AndoridSpin via BGR]

New leaked documents suggest all the Droid Eris grumblings we’ve heard were true: it should launch November 6, and will supposedly run $99 after rebate. That’s pretty cheap considering it matches the specs of the $180 Hero.

Engineer’s sketches of the upcoming Motorola Morrison have been leaked, ahead of what’s presumed to be the budget Android handset’s Holiday 2009 launch.  A sliding QWERTY touchscreen device, the Morrison is expected to carry a roughly $100 price tag when it lands on T-Mobile USA later in the year.

The handset is expected to have triband WCDMA 900/1700/2100 support, together with quadband GSM, as well as stereo Bluetooth and a speakerphone.  There is some difference between the controls of the Morrison in this image and in leaked photos of the handset; the sketch appears to show hardware buttons beneath the phone’s touchscreen, while leaked prototype shots suggest touch-sensitive keys instead.

T-Mobile USA are believed to be slotting the Morrison in underneath the G1.  The device was first spotted on a leaked roadmap back in May.

Rumour has it that an official app for Facebook running on Android is coming soon. The official launch may be closer than we thought. The app looks finished in the screens that have surfaced online. When Android made its handset debut on the T-Mobile G1 back in October of 2008, a nasty bout of drama between Facebook and Google kept the former from developing on the nascent platform.

There has still been no indication from Google or Facebook that the app is coming. The screen shots show what you expect to find in an official Facebook app. The app lacks static tabs found on the iPhone version; they are presumably in the drawer accessed via the menu button.

One screen points to a widget for the home page of Android devices that would allow the updating of the status without opening the app. That means you can post your pointless update without having to launch Facebook.
